Description

A distinct lipoprotein phenotype—characterized by density gradient ultracentrifugation—occurs in individuals who are intra-abdominally obese and insulin resistant. This includes an increase in denser VLDL particles, an increase in denser LDL, and a decrease in HDL cholesterol.
