POSTPONED 88th EAS Congress 2020

European Atherosclerosis Society

NEW DATES FOR EAS 2020 GENEVA: OCTOBER 04-07
The European Atherosclerosis Society leadership have been following closely recent, rapidly changing world-wide developments in response to COVID-19. It is most important to us to hold the meeting under circumstances where the safety and well-being of Congress faculty, attendees, supporters and staff can be assured. In the light of the unprecedented challenges facing our community we have taken the decision to reschedule this year’s Congress to the autumn.

After careful consideration of a number of possible options, the EAS Executive Committee has decided that EAS 2020 Geneva will proceed with the original programme on new dates: October 04-07, 2020. This allows us to keep all other aspects of the Congress: we go ahead in the city of Geneva, at Palexpo; we maintain the high quality of the scientific programme, and we preserve all the opportunities for discussion and networking that are an essential and much-appreciated part of the EAS Congress experience.

We appreciate that this rescheduling will have consequences for your attendance. You can find answers to the most immediate questions already below. This information will be updated in the coming days as we are able to provide more details. Please check here for updates.

We thank you for your understanding and flexibility under challenging and rapidly changing circumstances.

Get set for EAS 2020 Geneva, October 04-07

On behalf of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) and the Swiss Atherosclerosis Society we invite you to the 88th EAS Congress in Geneva, Switzerland — a peaceful lakeside haven and the gateway to the Alps. During the meeting we will explore the latest developments in research into the causes of atherosclerosis and related vascular disease, and how these may affect the clinical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment.

One of the features of EAS Congress is the high-level interdisciplinary exchange between clinicians and basic researchers. With many world-leading experts already confirmed, the EAS 2020 Geneva scientific programme will offer a bench-to-bedside overview of the latest current research in the field – including the award-winning Anitschkow Lecture, outstanding Keynote Lectures, state-of-the-art Plenary Sessions, and focused Workshops and Advance Clinical Seminars. We firmly believe that the personal meeting – presenting and discussing one’s work with others and sparking ideas from others’ work – is the key to progress in science. We encourage you to join us – to ask questions and share ideas during the Science at a Glance and Poster Sessions.

EAS supports young scientists in progressing their careers through Young Investigator Fellowships. This important initiative offers early-career scientists the opportunity to take part in the Congress, to learn through presenting their own research, attending the scientific programme, and getting to know others in the field. Information about Fellowships can be found on the Society website, and we welcome abstract submissions from young scientists.

On behalf of the Organising Committees we invite clinicians and basic researchers studying atherosclerosis and related vascular disease to present their findings to the international scientific community at EAS 2020 Geneva.

Join us in Geneva May 31 – June 3 at EAS 2020! You are sure to gain new friends, new ideas, and inspiration to take your studies of atherosclerosis and related vascular disease to new levels!
