ENDO2011

ENDO 2011 on Track to be The Largest-Ever Annual Meeting of The Endocrine Society

ENDO 2011 will be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts, June 4-7, 2011. Approximately 8,000 scientists and clinicians from all over the world are expected to assemble for this premier meeting of hormone research, health science, and endocrinology. The last time the Society held its annual meeting in Boston was in 2006, which set the all-time record for attendees.

This year’s meeting will give special attention to nuclear receptor research which has resulted in numerous therapeutic advancements including menopausal hormone therapy and treatments for infertility and Cushing’s syndrome. In addition to the more than 78 symposia and 16 plenary sessions on topics ranging from endocrine-disrupting chemicals to hormone therapy, this year’s Endocrinology and Society Lecture will be given by Donna Shalala, PhD. Shalala, a former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, currently serves as the president of The University of Miami.
